All about JL-Divebook

The Idea

The idea for this website was quite simple. As a designer and scuba diver, I wanted my dive logbook to be digitally accessible. And of course there has to be a platform to show the beautiful photos we have taken on our dives around the world. So we developed the JL-Divebook brand

The Name

JL-Divebook was the packaged result of this idea. The name had to be catchy, somehow familiar, but not too commercial. (J)enny and (L)arry experience this adventure together and a divebook can also be seen as a travel journal or diary. If you put all these things together, JL-Divebook is born...

UW-Photography

The underwater world offers so many possibilities to play with the creatures, landscapes and wrecks. From wide-angle shots over the reef, playing dolphins, curious sharks or snails in macro mode, we shoot everything that comes in front of our lens (carefully).

Build a Brand

I designed a few shirts with our logo that we could wear between our dives on the boat or in the dive center. I was fully aware that it wouldn't make sense to turn it into a saleable brand, but by having a SpreadShirt partner store with our own diver motifs, which are more commercial and can be worn by anyone, we can at least pass on the idea, the fun and maybe also the feeling.
